Christmas in Paris. For the end of year festivities, and thanks to the project « Paris lights up Paris », the streets and squares of the French capital will be illuminated in the most striking ways. Once again, the big department stores give artists a free hand to decorate their shop windows while a luxury hotel will be the venue for the creations of Christmas-tree designers. | | In the spotlight
Hi-tech visits are now on the up and up in Paris with guides of a new order: the earphones and screens of personal assistants, cell phones, and Walkmans are the new keys to the capital. Other virtual tours include the multimedia show Paris-Story, CD-Rom guides, and websites with information on the different areas of the city – all this without putting a foot out of the door! | | Classics
Notre-Dame cathedral across the centuries. Right in the heart of the French capital, Notre-Dame cathedral on the île de la Cité is a must see for any visit to Paris at any time of the year. Crowds of visitors come to admire its gargoyles and stained-glass windows. And at Christmas time, the public is offered a dazzling sight when the whole cathedral is bathed in candlelight during midnight mass. | | Affordable Paris
