Paris Respire (Paris breathes)

Festivals and festivities, Other festivals

All year long in most places.
Do you dream of enjoying Paris on foot, by bike or on rollerblades without being bothered by the usual hordes of cars? Well it’s no longer just a dream, thanks to the “Paris Respire” operation that takes place on Sundays and public holidays all year round... From the embankment expressways along the Seine in the 1st, 4th and 7th arrondissements, the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin in the 10th, to the south of the Luxembourg gardens in the 6th (from March to November), the Daguerre district in the 14th or the Butte Montmartre in the 18th, the Bois de Vincennes in the 12th, the Bois de Boulogne in the 16th...

14 areas of Paris limit traffic to local residents, taxis and emergency vehicles only for the greatest pleasure of pedestrians, cyclists and skaters.
