100% Finland, a Finnish festival in France

Festivals and festivities, Other festivals

From 1 April to 30 June 2008
Country of well-being, culture and innovation, Finland has already attracted many visitors from around the world. Impossible to miss out on such a breathtaking trip. But there’s no need to dash to the airport; Finland is coming to us, thanks to the Saison Culturelle (cultural season), the traditional time for discovering the customs of far-away worlds. The event entitled “100% Finland” will be showcasing Suomi culture and will be taking place all over France until 30 June.
250 events (contemporary dance, cartoon strips, contemporary circus, hard rock, photography, digital art, literature, and more) at Paris’s most prestigious venues (Salle Pleyel, Centre Pompidou, Opéra Bastille, Grande Halle de la Villette, Théâtre du Châtelet, Les Arts Décoratifs, Institut finlandais…) and in several French towns.
To guide you through this abundance of cultural treasures, here are some events not to be missed: the Tero Saarinen dance company at the Théâtre de Châtelet, the Finnish market at Place Saint-Sulpice, « Des auteurs, des cirques: 100% Finlande » at the Parc de la Villette, the new Finnish choreographic stage at the Cartoucherie in the Bois de Vincennes… and many other great moments!
