L'homme exposéExhibitions / MiscellaneousSince 21 February 2007.
“L’Homme exposé” is the first episode of a saga that will continue to be written until the opening of the new museum, which will cover the history of Man, his environment and his future. This episode relates the history of anthropological studies over several hundred years: the history of those who have attempted to describe and understand the nature of Man. Various sections (Imaginary men, The original humans, Human communities, Human individuals, Of men and monkeys and The nature of Man) illustrated by a sumptuous collection of prehistoric and anthropological items (over 500 rare or previously unseen objects) will give visitors an opportunity to reflect on the basic question: Who is Man? The exhibition is a discovery of humanity, from the way early Man imagined himself to be to the facts that we now know. FHR Photo D.R.
