From 15 April to 30 November 2008
What a birthday! Did you know that the famous « deudeuche » is celebrating its sixtieth birthday? One of its kind, as much for the originality of its design and its incredible resistance to time as for its glamorous feel, the 2 CV has managed the handsome achievement of making itself unforgettable or indeed indispensable.
In production for forty two years, the 2 CV has been a car for populations and generations as diverse as the « prolo » (working-class person) of 1968, and the « bobo » (middle-class bohemian) of 2000.
Until 30 November 2008 the Cité des Sciences et de l’industrie and Citroën are celebrating the car’s sixth decade by organising a grand exhibition including: a spectacular event where cars suspended from the museum’s ceiling compete for interest, a mechanical parade of the most emblematic models, historic models on the podium, a collection of miniature models, commercial advertisements of the time and more.
A great event with a good dose of nostalgia.
