Are you aware that the Palais de la Porte Dorée in the 12th arrondissement has housed a Tropical Aquarium since the 1931 Colonial Exhibition?... Bring the whole family to discover a rich collection of some 5,000 fish from 300 species. From the discus to the clown fish, sea anemones to mandarins, plunge into this fascinating and colourful world.

Tours can include lectures, workshops, special itineraries and activities for those who prefer to explore the aquarium from an educational standpoint. A definite must for budding aquarists and experts on aquatic fauna alike.

Built for the colonial exhibition of 1931, the former Musée des Colonies retains the tropical aquarium from this period. With a learning trail, primitive and electric fish, Asian waters, and aquatic life from Africa and South America, not forgetting the show with the crocodile pit, sharks, and piranhas.
